I was amused to discover how much I did agree with Dean - I consider myself an Independent, but, in general, I have had somewhat more sympathy for Republican positions than Democrat (by a small margin!) IIRC, I'm one of the great middle that is described as socially liberal and fiscally conservative.

I suggest that--at least based on these results--you are far more Democrat than you think you are.

I don't know that I'd call it "bias." The list of candidates seems to some extent focused on those who might actually run, and how many Republicans are likely to run against Bush?

but when you look at lists of 20 potential candidates, and 3/4 of them are Democrat for everyone, sheer numbers will make it look like you have more sympathy for Democrats than you might in truth.
<\i>

Is that really the case? If you didn't agree with them, you wouldn't get such high percentages. You got higher agreement percentages with more Dems than I did! You had 90% or higher agreement with four of them, and 75% or higher agreement with ten. I didn't have 90% or higher with any<\i> of them, and had 75% or higher with only three!!!!

OOPS, got those slashes going the wrong way, didn't I?
