I was amused to discover how much I did agree with Dean - I consider myself an Independent, but, in general, I have had somewhat more sympathy for Republican positions than Democrat (by a small margin!) IIRC, I'm one of the great middle that is described as socially liberal and fiscally conservative.

Also, it's comparing against their beliefs, as opposed to the Party Platform. It is always ... interesting to contrast candidate beliefs and opinions to Official Party Word.

If not bias, what would you call it? I'll agree it isn't an intentional bias, but I can't think of better word for it right now.

<\i>
Is that really the case? If you didn't agree with them, you wouldn't get such high percentages. You got higher agreement percentages with more Dems than I did! You had 90% or higher agreement with four of them, and 75% or higher agreement with ten. I didn't have 90% or higher with any<\i> of them, and had 75% or higher with only three!!!!
