They do work in subjects, but in the month-view of all posts where there are links to all the posts, nothing is made a link after the username. So if the subject had been "For profitne, to demonstrate", the link in the month all entries view would have been, "For profitne, to demonstrate", rather than For profitne, to demonstrate".
