Youtube request

Folks, when you do a Youtube embed, would you please include a straight URL pointer? About 20% of the time, an embedded youtube falls over and doesn't do anything I click "play". Yet, if I can find a straight pointer to it, I can go to Youtube and it plays just fine.

Also, when I'm reading text-only (which I do about half the time), it's a pain to go find the [EMBED] later and follow them - I'm much more likely to e-mail myself a URL pointing at youtube than a URL pointing to a post with an embedded youtube item. The failure rate is too high for it to be worth the effort.

Okey-dokey.

I suspect you're clicking on the play button and it fails there occasionally. If that's the case, click the image itself; it should spawn a new window.

Yeah, I usually have to click embedded videos twice before anything happens.

Count yourself lucky -- if I am foolish enough to click on one of those YouTube links that have been springing up like weeds across my flist lately, it always ends up crashing my FireFox. Usually when it finishes playing, but about a quarter of the time it does it somewhere in the middle.
