laurel had pointed at a nice replacement unit (thanks,laurel ), which we order through her Amazon associate link. It showed up this afternoon, I let it warm up and plugged it in, grabbed a torrent, copied the AVI to my USB drive, and, voila! Torchwood.
iraunink was very happy with me! I hadn't pointed out this capability of the new unit, and she'd missed it. {grin}
