Our life is being boring - any excitement is being provided by the kids. We like it that way!

Other than that - doing pretty good - our second grandchild is due National Singles Awareness Day1. The elder step-daughter and the Son-In-Law Who Drives Us Crazy are going to be the lucky parents.

[livejournal.com profile] kosmickitten & [livejournal.com profile] bernesemntdog are adapting fairly easily to married life - but they're both fen, and have too much stuff in too little space. They're working on that. [livejournal.com profile] iraunink got her quilt "Scraps Too Small To Save" in the Washington County Fair (second or third place in category) and MN State Fair (nice write-up, didn't place).

We've got Convivial coming up Oct 19-21, and I'm taking the week after off. It will be a vacation-in-place - we're going to be trying to get to some of those places in the Twin Cities we've been meaning to get to for some time (windows shopping the corner of 50th & Xerxes, with a bunch of antique shops and a woodworker; maybe a trip to the Walker Art Gallery - stuff like that).
