Doctor Visit
Oct. 21st, 2004 04:43 pmI saw the oncologist for an LGL Leukemia follow-up this past Tuesday morning - the news was guardedly optimistic. Hemoglobin count is up ~10-25% (it was 10.3, the low was either 9.5 or 8.x, our memories were unclear on which and it was too much work to go through the records), and the total white blood cell count was also improved. The differential white blood cell count wasn't done yet, neither was the genetic scan - the first tells the ratios of the various white blood cells (mine were nearly perfectly reversed), the latter tells if there are a lot of clone lymphocytes running around. The presumption is that those two tests will come out slightly improved, if so I'll hear about them in six weeks, if widely different from that I'll get a phone call.
Next follow-up is 30 November.
