That's pretty good for a rainy, chilly night. We only got one bevy of seven or eight kids, shepherded by an extremely imposing woman. But they were very cute and I gave them lots of candy.
I had 32 visitors. Each got two mini-bars. One pair, dressed as aliens, gave back a mini-packet each of Skittles and fruit leather. That was a new one on me. I don't know if they were disposing of unwanted items or actually giving out treats.
one year we had a kid in a Charlie Brown Ghost costume handing out rocks as zie made the rounds. Zie told me that a lot of people “got it”.
years before that, our youngest child went out as Charlie Brown’s ghost and I was amused by the number of people who gave him a rock as well as a treat. A couple of his school friends came by later and gave him more rocks, since they didn’t have any rocks at school.
