Merry Christmas!
Dec. 25th, 2008 08:38 amor Happy Holidays, or whatever greeting is appropriate.
This morning I'm at work - everyone has to sign up for two 'work eight hours on a holiday' shifts, and this year mine were Labor Day & Christmas Day, both 7:00am-3:00pm. It should be a slow day.
Let's see - what have I been doing this year for celebrations? (I guess I'll include some future plans.)
This morning I'm catching up on LJ, playing Iron Dragon on my laptop, and installing Mandriva Linux w/ KDE on the laptop I got from
kaytecat. The fact that said laptop needed a new hard-drive and has a flaky DVD/CD-ROM burner don't matter much for how I use a laptop. (I said it's going to be a slow day at work!)

- December 6th - Minn-StF Meeting and Early Birthday Party
- December 13th - Non-Fannish Holiday Open House. Sparsely attended this year, but we'll try again next year. Invitees were neighbors, the kids & their families, and some other friends we don't usually see at Minn-StF Meetings
- December 15th - my birthday, with little actual celebration. I worked 7-7.
- December 21st - Christmas at
kosmickitten &
bernesemntdog's. Joined by his father, and the kids & their families (again).
- December 24th - Christmas Eve at
iraunink's mother's. All but one of
iraunink's siblings & their spouses showed up (the one missing lives in CA, all the rest are local), and most of the grand-kids & great-grand-kids.
- December 25th - working 7-3, off to a party most of the locals on my FL probably know about after work. Hope to see many of you there! Will have to leave the party about 7:30. :-(
- December 26th - working 7-7, then off to a Boxing Day Party. Expect to see many of the locals there also - and I'm not working Saturday, so I can stay as late as I want to. Yay!
- December 31st - work 7-7, followed by the Minn-StF New Years Eve at
cakmpls'
