I've been feeling less than wonderful.
This is more to have it handy than anything else - I tend to loose track of how long things have been happening.
Jan 27 - sore throat starts
Jan 29 - sore throat worsens, occasionally/rarely productive cough starts - output is translucent white to brown
Feb 1 - see Dr. Grammens - he prescribed Spectracef 200mg 1 tablet twice per day - my depressed immune system was a strong factor in having me fill the prescription immediately
Feb 2 - start on Spectracef
Feb 3 & 4 - general malaise, short of breath / energy (carrying one dog upstairs leaves me gasping), occasional fever, sore throat & cough are worse
Feb 5 - general malaise goes away, sore throat less so, cough becomes usually productive
Feb 7 - half-way through Spectracef - usually productive cough, to moderate sore throat

A piece of advice worth the paper it is printed on? If you feel a painful spot on your back and there appear to be a few small bites/sores/etc. there? Hie thee to a doctor and get checked for shingles.
I contracted them during an exceedingly stressful time in my life and didn't address the issue in a timely manner. If they get diagnosed with 72 hours of erupting, anti-viral drugs can be administered and the whole outbreak dealt with in short order.
Alas, I didn't figure out what was going on until 92 hours out; I gave a co-worker, age 26, chicken pox, and was miserable for three weeks.
With this knowledge in the ambient, another co-worker came and showed me his rash. I pronounced "shingles" and he got anti-virals and was well within the week.
