Summing up the week
Sep. 28th, 2003 10:24 pmThe tree-going-away pictures are almost ready to post.
Wednesday night we got the Northern Pin Oak planted - we really need to get the rest of the new stuff planted this week. And I need to take the in-laws chain-saw to the remnants of the lilac bush - there are some big branches that still need to go away.
Thursday night was dinner with Don & Margo - the round-steak, potatoes & carrots with barbecue sauce in the crock-pot didn't quite work - the potatoes picked up too much of the barbecue flavor.
Friday night date went nicely.
Saturday was the Lois McMaster Bujold signing at Dreamhaven - Paladin of Souls was released this week! (The first six chapters are available at the link, if you're interested.) A bunch of LMB list members got together beforehand for some chatting, then we all went out (with Lois!) to Khan's Mongolian Barbecue afterwards. Much fun was had by all. See
pewtergryphon's writeup here.
Sunday was laundry, shopping, and dinner with the aforementioned in-laws. I was pleasantly surprised when sister-in-law Didi, her husband, and a couple of their kids showed up to join us.
