The Weekend
May. 10th, 2004 07:39 pmSaturday - slept in, then we did the big grocery run (Friday was payday, get two weeks worth of everything except milk and fresh produce). After that, I dropped Irene off at her Clutterers Anonymous meeting, and went home to put away the groceries. I picked up a manual sod kicker, then went and picked up Irene. She got the sod mostly cleared off - I had a pulled muscle or something in my groin, so I wasn't too much help in the yard work. :-(
Sunday - we went to the University of Minnesota Horticultural Club's plant sale - got a Rosa The Fairy (a not quite wild rose, supposed to be hardy in this neck of the woods), a four-pack of Brandywine tomato plants, two four-packs of celosia (yellow & red), a four-pack of mums (with peach centers), and three Northern Lights Azalea seedling's from cross-pollination. We'll find out what color they are in a year or two. Then we went to Irene's parent's for a family Mother's Day celebration.
