Monday was the monthly Minn-StF Board Meeting - we found out that we do need to find a new Corresponding Secretary, and started thinking about it.
Irene spent money on Tuesday, and money she'd spent earlier bore fruit. More specifically, she bought two dressers at The UnPainted Place - they're having a 'change in line of business' sale, and she got two neat dressers for significantly less than anything else we've found. So, we'll have to pick up some gloss black paint acceptable for use on furniture, and she'll paint them. She also bought 6 Wilton Carpet (IIRC) Junipers - blue-green, 6" tall, 6' across. They're going on the front slope after the grass comes off. The money that bore fruit was 48 Irish Moss plants - 2-4" high, space 10-12" apart, "take foot traffic" - they're going in around the tree in the boulevard, with intent to fill the whole boulevard if they work out.
We went out to dinner with the
minnehaha's,
90_percent_sure and son, and
carbonel on Wednesday - an expensive (by my standards) seafood place in Wayzata. Great company, OK to good food - I liked what I got, but thought it was somewhat over-priced. (Hey,
minnehaha's - how much of those menu prices was location?)
Thursday was fighting with computer hardware - I got a wireless router / access point, and it was being less than cooperative about working. After much poking and prodding, I got it working as an access point, having turned off all the nifty cable/DSL router featues. Which was just what I wanted, so I'm happy. Now I need to get WEP working on it, and then install the wireless card I got for Irene for Mother's Day. I'm fairly certain she doesn't know about the new hardware yet. <evil chuckle>
Tonight is our weekly date. Tomorrow is grocery shopping, Irene goes to a Clutterer's Anonymous Meeting, and then the gardening party I announced in an earlier LJ entry. Sunday is (I hope) a quiet day at home - phone calls to mother, step-mother, and sister-in-law, get Irene's computer wireless working, hopefully surprising Irene with the wireless connection!
