Busy Friday!
Sep. 16th, 2006 02:04 pmFriday I got up at 6:30, and drove the car off to our favorite mechanic (Hawkins, 45th & Nicollet), getting there about 7:20. Which was early - they don't officially open until 7:30. I got lucky - they opened their door early. Dropped the car off, then walked home with Josie. She was quite worn out by the time we got home - per google, it's a 1.6 mile trip. It took us about 45 minutes.
Spent the day doing laundry and playing on the computer.
Car was done about 4PM - they did a 'ready for winter' check, tune-up (replaced the spark plugs), put a new bulb in the right rear turn signal, new wiper blades, new windshield cleaning fluid, clean out the cleaning fluid tubes, and two new tires. Walked back, picked it up, and stopped at the credit union for cash on the way home.
Then we went to the opening concert of the season for the Minnesota Orchestra - they performed:

It was a fun evening!

I also got a bunch of CD's:
- MN Orchestra's newest - Beethoven's 3rd & 8th Symphonies, directed by Osmo Vanska (which I got signed!)
- Reveries, Eiji Oue & Minnesota Orchestra (a compilation CD)
- Mephisto & Co, Eiji Oue & Minnesota Orchestra (another compilation CD)
- Minnesota Orchestra at One Hundred - a 12 CD collection of recordings and broadcasts going back to 1924
It was a fun evening!
