My snow story
Feb. 26th, 2007 02:28 pmOne of the advantages of working the shift I work is that I've left for work before the Snow Emergency kicks in, and get home after the plowing is done, so I don't have to worry about what side of the street to park on when.
Having to be up and on my way to work Sunday morning before they'd done more than get a pass or two down the Snow Emergency routes is a disadvantage.
iraunink had to come out and help me get the car moving yesterday morning - it was not fun. And about morning break time, I discovered that I'd wrenched my right knee (sensitive courtesy of a run-in with a motorcycle in my youth) - it was in minor pain if I put any weight on it, and felt like there were nails being driven in if I locked the knee. Not fun. I had to take advantage of my lovely wife's good nature when I got home - she shoveled out a space for me to get the car into (and out of again this morning!). Thanks, love!
So, I've been on ibuprofen, slept well, using my cane - my knee is definitely better. I anticipate it being pain free by Thursday morning at the latest, maybe as early as tomorrow morning.
