Just in case you haven't heard, John M. Ford was found dead this morning.

It was several years after I met Mike that I found out that he was John M. He wrote some of the most amazing stuff - his .sigs were always a treasure.

I only recall one time that I saw him croggled - and that was my wife's fault. She made him a spherical cow of uniform density, and we tossed it to him at Ask Dr. Mike, with the question "Dr. Mike, given a spherical cow of uniform density, what would you do?". He did recover quickly.

I remember the Spherical Cow Incident; I think it went over my head at the time. (Literally; IIRC you and iraunink were sitting behind me.)
