sraunOK, sometimes I'm slow.
After fighting with ffmpeg for a while, it suddenly occurred to me to ask Google "generate nokia 770 video". I have now installed Urho Konttori's's Media Converter, and now have copies of the puppy videos on my Nokia 770.
Yay!
