Croggling Mundanes

J is one of my co-workers. He's a nice guy - but he is nowhere near as cosmopolitan as he likes to think he is! He was raised in the Upper Midwest by conservative middle-class parents.
He is so easy to croggle!
Yesterday was the perfect example - we got new Ethernet patch cables a couple of weeks ago, in red, yellow, blue, white, and a truly gorgeous shade of lavender.
He was boxing some of them up to send off to a remote site, and I said, "Crossover cables?"
"No, do you need one?" he replied.
"Nah - it would just be appropriate in some rather bizarre fashion if the lavender ones were crossover cables."
At which point, J just lost it. He quotee Ivan, from A Civil Campaign - "That's just wrong!" Several times.
He was so croggled at the whole concept, that I started laughing, and did so until I was out of breath.
Mentioned the same concept to everyone else in the department, and got responses ranging from laughs to 'go away'.
