I'm actually going to list two recipes:
1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
1 can (6 oz) frozen limeade, thawed
1 container (16 oz) Cool Whip
1 graham-cracker pie crust
Mix first three ingredients together until smooth. Chill 2-3 hours. Serve. Cut very small pieces - it's really rich! I found that doubling the recipe and using three pie shells works nicely - it's not so thick at the center, it cuts more easily, and the slices don't have to be quite as thin.
1 lb Hamburger, browned
1/2 lb Bacon, chopped & browned
1 onion, chopped & browned
3/4 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. ketchup
1 T. vinegar
1 T. mustard
1/2 t salt
4 cans pork & beans
2 cans kidney beans, drained & rinsed
2 cans other beans, drained
(The original recipe called for lima beans - I usually use 1 can garbanzos, and 1 can of whatever strikes our fancy - butter beans and black-eyed peas have been the most recent substitutions)
Combine all in a crockpot, cook on low for 10+ hours.
The Rules
- Share a recipe with your friends list. It should be something quick and easy and without rare ingredients; ideally, it should be something you already know by heart because you've made it often enough. If you're comfortable doing so, post public.
- Post a link to the entry where you ran into the meme.
- In the comments to the entry where you ran into the meme, share your recipe and link to the entry where you share it with your friends list.
- Invite your friends to share their quick and easy recipes.
- Explore the recipes posted in the comments to your friends' journals as well as those in your own.
