sraunKatie's appendectomy went fine - she'll be out of the hospital tomorrow morning.
Chela is apparently multiply infected - the vet thinks the 'something' under her nipple is an infected insect bite, and she has a bladder infection. She got a shot of antibiotics, and I'll have to give her pills for two weeks. She's also on different food - rice, cottage cheese and chicken instead of her normal fare. Fortunately, we have a significant amount of frozen chicken to be boiled and diced, so that's not a problem, and we've got a rice cooker. Unfortunately, the antibiotices will probably give her diarrhea. Ah, well - we have the knowledge and supplies to deal with that.
