I promised I'd mention - my Sharp Zaurus SL-5500 with Netgear Compact Flash 802.11b card showed up yesterday. Has been charged and turned on - now all I have to do is figure out how to make the Zaurus talk to the Netgear card, install some software, figure out how the sync software works, and buy an SD card for some more storage.

I'll be announcing with great cheer when I get the Netgear card working and an SSH client installed. Then I should be able to read LJ and mail on it.

Congrats! Let us know how that works out. Is that the Linux Zaurus or something more conventional? My treo 90 is now refusing to sync avantGO, which is too bad as that's where the lj client is.

Yep, that's the Linux one. It's currently got the Sharp-branded Linux on it - I am given to understand that changing to the openzaurus.org version will make the wireless networking much easier!
