My employer got hit hard by the MSBlaster worm today.

And something occurred to me - if the virus writers really wanted to try to apply pressure to Microsoft to fix things, they should configure their warez so that they do some kind of denial of service attack on Microsoft itself - either mailbomb them or attack their services or something.

I believe I read something this morning about a new variant of MSBlaster, or a tagalong or something, that launches a DDS attack on the windowsupdate servers.

Hey, the original was doing that! Getting through to Windows Update after 3PM through about 12M yesterday was nigh unto impossible!
