As a fan of The Princess Bride I was amused, even without knowing what 'SCO' stands for.

SCO = Santa Cruz Operations, the company claiming that Linux (and the companies that sell Linux to their customers (such as IBM)) are violating their Intellectual Property rights.

I believe they are largely seen as a stalking horse for MicroSloth, which has shown some concern that Linux might crack their monopoly...

That makes more sense of it then.
It doesn't seem fitting, though, to cast IBM in the role of Wesley, as the Dread Pirate Roberts, who was the hero of it all. IBM doesn't come across as heroic.
