Oct. 14th, 2005 04:39 pmAccording to Twin Cities Gas Prices, there is currently a $.93 spread on the price of regular gas in the Twin Cities! If I toss out the highest entry (which is for full serve), it drops to a $.63 spread. The most expensive self-serve is more the 25% more expensive than the cheapest? I find this difficult to believe.

Date: 2005-10-15 04:09 pm (UTC)It's not too bad in here in Augusta, GA. There's about a 15-20 cent spread, with the low being $2.62 on post now, and a lone $2.80 somewhere. Right by our apartment, it's $2.63, $2.64, due to the number of military who live here, I presume.
My guess is that it's a product of company policies about pricing - some stations may not have the autonomy to change prices without approval.
