Jun. 15th, 2003 09:39 pmI really should get a client installed on the home computer. Hmmm - anyone know if there's a Linux text-only client?
It's been nearly a week since I posted? Blech!
Mandatory overtime at work is getting old really fast. We lease PC's from Dell, we're 80 expired leases behind, and we have 75 new lease expirations in July. It is not looking to be a pleasant summer!
I finally got the Paladin of Souls ARC's out to the auction winners. Tomorrow I have to get the round-robin reading copy out.
Friday nite was minnehaha's party - didn't make much of it, but it was fun.
Saturday was Lyda Morehouse and Lois McMaster Bujold signing at Uncle Hugo's - Lyda recognized me and Irene, but that was from Marscon. When we described ourselves as 'friends of Ralph', she went, 'Oh!' - and then I put my arm around Irene and said, "And this is Katie's mom (Lyda looked confused) - Ralph's girlfriend!" Lyda - 'Oh, I didn't know there was that connection!' It was amusing.
Then we went to the Dreamhaven Garage Sale, got a half-dozen or so books.
Then home for dinner and a quiet night - I finally got caught up on natter {shudder}. Have posted some comments this evening - now to see what flames may come.
Sunday was laundry and a 25th wedding anniversary for one of Irene's cousins. We stopped and picked up left-over pop from Irene's parents on the way (that was where Katie's graduation party was - we seriously over-bought on pop!). Got home 6ish, finished laundry, did the aforementioned posting, got caught up on LJ. Still way behind on the LMB list - well, I'll start picking away at that at lunch tomorrow.
