We're going to host a gardening work party this Saturday starting at 3:30.

The Work:

  • Transplant about a dozen very small junipers

  • Remove grass from the front slope (about 120 sq. ft.)

  • Put down lanscaping cloth for erosion control

  • Plant six larger carpet junipers on front slope

  • Remove grass from around tree in boulevard (or whatever you call that space between the sidewalk and the street)

  • Plant 40-some Irish Moss plants in prior space

  • Maybe put mulch down around the Irish Moss

There are also a number of volunteer ferns that we need to remove sooner or later - anyone interested in taking any away would be more than welcome! Or, just digging them up.

Please bring tools - we've got one big shovel and a couple of hand tools appropriate for the job. We do have a good wheelbarrow equivalent for hauling stuff around.

What you get:

  • The satisfaction of a job well done

  • Beverages

  • Pizza

RSVP's appreciated but not required.
