Vacation Day 3

Quiet at home - we never got out of the house.
I finished Strong Poison in the afternoon.
Some minor kitchen cleaning, and made Barbecued Beans - a very forgiving recipe.
Six cans of beans - two commercial baked beans, four whatever (I like one dark red kidney, one light red kidney, one garbanzo, and one something else - we used black-eyed peas this time)
A significant quantity of ketchup
The same amount of brown sugar
About half that much mustard
As much vinegar as mustard
Browned Bacon - a bunch (1/4 to 1 pound - take your pick)
Onion, browned (I think I used all of medium-large one this time)
Put it all a crock pot, mix well, and let cook on low for 10-12 hours. If you have less time, let it cook for an hour or two on high to get it started.
Cans are 15-16 oz cans - if your crockpot is big enough, use 32 oz cans of the baked beans.
Monica, Flavin and friends came over for dinner.
I read LJ and e-mail for several hours.
Now for some reading of Have His Carcase.
