I'm a little bit drunk

Up bright and early this morning (OK, it was early, I'm not certain I was bright). We got out of the house shortly before 9:30, and caught the bus downtown. Had breakfast at the new Keys Cafe in the Foshay Tower, and then off to the Twin Cities Food & Wine Experience at the Convention Center. Doors opened at 11:00, we got there just as the doors were opening. Wandered around, drank too much red wine, some non-grape wine-like beverages (based on honey, raspberry, plum, etc.), and a small quantity of white wine. Found some things to try the next time we're wine shopping. There wasn't a lot of different wines - it was pretty much variations on the same six or eight types.
Irene gave out about 1:45, we headed back to the bus and got home just before 3:00. I'm just as happy I wasn't driving, thank you!
Irene's upstairs taking a nap, I'm waiting for Pets Are Inn to drop off a visitor. It is currently an article of faith that I will be competent to drive to the Minn-StF Meeting after the visitor is dropped off - we'll see how that matches reality when the time comes.
Irene enjoyed it sufficiently that we're going to be seeing if joint can fund it next year. I had a windfall this year (the Cardia medical study gave me money), and bought us both tickets - it was my official Valentine to Irene.
