Scott, I just wanted to say that I enjoy your Friday Night Date summaries, brief though they may be. It's nice to see people who are clearly not teenagers anymore oing out on dates, and I'm always interested in hearing what sorts of wine real people (i.e., not wine snobs) are drinking.

"going out" is probably stretching the point. They're mostly 'scheduled us time' - we curl up on the couch and watch either a DVD or some TiVo, and have pizza and wine. Among other incentives, this means neither of us has to drive! But we have made it clear to iraunink's kids, and a number of other people, that we are not available on Friday evening for anything other than an emergency!

So, how was the movie?

Pretty much the way I remembered it. I indulged my darling wife - I wasn't really in the mood for the kind of romantic comedy that it is.

Although the Johnny Depp fans will find that he is wonderful eye-candy as an early-20's boy under the delusion that he's Don Juan! He's quite over the top, which was more than I was really ready to handle last Friday.
