pgdudda, sevenmpls, quility, trochai and I were playing Corsari at the Minn-StF Pool Party. A discussion of MMORPGs came up.

pgdudda tried to pronounce MMORPG. It came out something like MORE PORG.

My reply was "I will have to call them Ankhs from now on.

I got several confused looks. quility said, "Angsts?". "No, Ankhs - A N K H."

There was a pause of several seconds.

And then much groaning. And congratulations, and claiming that it had to go up on LJ, Facebook, and Diaspora.


I thought I heard pgdudda say Morepork - until I thought about it. But the link had already been triggered.

Yes, I'm now calling them after Ankh-Morepork, from Terry Pratchett's Diskworld books.

And yes, the chosen icon for this post was a hint.
