I've seen but have not yet tried a white shiraz, and would be interested in your reactions, especially in comparison to that ol' devil white zin.

She liked it, I liked it - IIRC, we've had a white shiraz before (it could have been a white something-else-normally-red, I'd have to go back and check the date posts to be certain). It claims raspberry and vanilla overtones (I agree with the raspberry, I'm not certain about the vanilla), and is drier than your average white. iraunink says her first taste of it reminded her of jasmine.

I'm a barbarian - I like white zin. My wife agrees with me. Neither one of us has a sufficiently good memory of white zin to contrast the two.
