Anyone want flax or mallow for their garden? iraunink says we've got lots!

Also, if anyone wants flax stalks from last year, we've probably still got a bunch of that available.

The flax stalks are tempting, but I think I'd better not get that far into the hand-spinning thing.

Feel free to tell me it's too much trouble, but could you tell me what they look like? I image-Googled, and I see a lot of different things!

Try the picture at http://www.blossomswap.com/picture/flax.html - the flowers there are very close to actual size, the stalks get to be a couple of feet high.

Is the mallow the kind you can make tea out of?

Well, my wife says it's Malva sylvestris, which I found listed as a type of tea. I deduce that the answer is yes.

iraunink says flax is not an annual.

How late does Irene usually stay up?

She says 'any time before 10AM is a figment of other people's imagination'. She's safe to call until at least 10PM - I'd say midnight, except then you'd wake me up. I have to go to bed significantly earlier than either of us really likes because of a 7AM job. :-(
