I'd appreciate it if you'd look at this once, but will not be surprised if a lot of people find them boring.

Please don't click on them too much - this can hurt (or even kill) them. Views & Unique Views are apparently what they really need.


I think I've got a stone dragon, a white dragon, a water dragon, and a skywing. We'll see in a week or two.

How does one View without Click? I am so confused.

Unique View just happened for you - it's the first time you see the egg on a page, you did it when you clicked into the LJ cut.

View happens when you see the egg again - say, if you click into the LJ cut tomorrow.

Click is when you actually click on an egg to go read about it.

Unique View & View are actually IP-address based - if you look from more than one computer, you can generate multiple Unique Views. That I can think of, the most likely way for a single person to generate multiple Unique Views would be if they had a laptop and wandered among various internet cafes, coffee shops, bookstores, etc. - anything with a WiFi access point - and looked from each one of them. Interesting option - I wonder if I could easily implement it? If I put up a page on fireopal.org that had the egg links on it, and then set up a short-cut in the browser on my Nokia - yeah, it would work. I'd have to pull it out and make the connection / view the page - but that wouldn't take more than a couple of minutes per access point. Definitely not worth for any non-free points!

So long as you don't click more than once or twice per day, it won't likely make them sick. The kid clicked on our first eggs about 30 times in the first day, and it took some emergency measures to get their views up enough that "soft shell" didn't claim them. (Emergency measures = a kind friend put them on a .sig on a forum, plus I solicited some looks from the Pyramid forums.)
