And she said Dequervain's Disease

Sometime in late December or early January, I started having twinges in right wrist. These reminded me of the twinges from the tendonitis related to my right thumb from ~15 years ago. I talked to my GP about it a couple of weeks ago, he gave me a referral, and today I saw the specialist. The short form is that it felt like my tendonitis because it's almost certainly the same thing.
I got it early. I've got the barest hint of symptoms in my left hand, and definite symptoms in my right hand. She (the specialist) said that I caught it nice and early, she gave me splints, exercises, and instructions for using a cold pack, and sent me on my way. No follow-up scheduled - unless something goes drastically wrong, neither she nor I anticipate needing a follow-up.
I'm pleased that I got it as early as I did.
