1. I am a chocoholic. But that's as far as I have progressed with the 12 steps. I hope to remain one.
2. On reflection, I suppose my reaction was an overreaction - I enjoy the aroma of chocolate as I consume it.
3. But the overwhelming reaction when I read the page was "What is this going to do to the lungs of its users after 40 years?". I perhaps did not read enough to find out if they thought they knew, but I wouldn't have believed them anyway. Not enough time.
Even with the curative effects of some objective consideration, I am still in a bit of shock, but I am glad that you posted this. Thanks! But I don't intend to forward the link to my wife, a person who enjoys chocolate as much or more than I, but who is very much better controlled about it. I may tell her about it.
So, the emotional component could best be described as "mixed"?
Personally, I find it amusing. If I ever buy one, I'm likely to consume it by 'open mouth, hold breath, spray, close mouth, release breath when taste goes away'.
I give 'em about 3 years to get rid of the (French and therefore unacceptable to the US mainstream) "le". Three days after that, it'll come in a bacon flavor.
