Pidgin, but my only reason is that it works and fits your requirements. I've only ever used the AIM protocol to any extent. Apparently they've added video chat now, but it's not implemented under Windows yet.

that is, the video chat portion isn't implemented under the Windows version yet.

I like Xchat. It's multiplatform and Perl scriptable.
