As near as I can tell, e-mail is working, and mailing lists are working for mail. Web access to sign up for lists, or see the list archives, still isn't working.

I still need to get webmail working. I'm dithering - part of me wants to install Squirrelmail, but it requires IMAP, and I don't want to switch over to maildirs - I like my mboxes!

Dovecot is quite happy with mbox folders - it's more superior to Courier in many ways - but I have no idea how it integrates with Exim. It works well with Postfix, at least. :-)

As long as the system blew up on me, I'm going to be installing a new web-mail client. It's looking like I'm going for SquirrelMail, but I'm not certain yet.

Network mail protocol (IMAP v POP) is orthogonal to mailbox format (maildir v mbox), no?

Not exactly? The protocol you're using has to be able to talk to the storage method you're using.

My problem is that the web-mail client I want to try requires a IMAP server, and I want to keep my mboxes.
