I hate it when the spammers decide to spoof one (or more) of the e-mail addresses I'm responsible before. This week they're using the Einblatt address and one (or more) of the Liaden mailing list addresses.

grumpf, grumpf, grumpf

Yeah, that's extremely annoying. One of the bits I don't miss :-).

Grrrrr......

Bastards!

That happens every so often with the dendarii.com addresses, too.

I personally hate - as well as the spammers - the bloody morons who allow backscattering from their mail servers. I tend to send rude emails to postmaster@domain, but funnily enough, I don't get many responses. Including from the Australian DoD, the wankers.

If you don't use them already, I can't recommend the Spamhaus Zen RBL highly enough. A very high catch rate, and no false-positives, ever. I also use Backscatterer.org (http://www.backscatterer.org/?target=usage) in "safe mode" (ie, only rejecting backscattered emails sent from "<>"), although I think their delisting policy sucks ($50 to have someone removed). Of course, whitelisting is always a possibility (and I do that with the aforementioned Australian DoD, since we send lots of mail to them, but that's the only one).
