Rant ahead
Oct. 29th, 2009 01:07 pmI hate it when the spammers decide to spoof one (or more) of the e-mail addresses I'm responsible before. This week they're using the Einblatt address and one (or more) of the Liaden mailing list addresses.

Date: 2009-10-30 09:03 am (UTC)If you don't use them already, I can't recommend the Spamhaus Zen RBL highly enough. A very high catch rate, and no false-positives, ever. I also use Backscatterer.org (http://www.backscatterer.org/?target=usage) in "safe mode" (ie, only rejecting backscattered emails sent from "<>"), although I think their delisting policy sucks ($50 to have someone removed). Of course, whitelisting is always a possibility (and I do that with the aforementioned Australian DoD, since we send lots of mail to them, but that's the only one).
