Book recommendation

Magic Below Stairs, by Caroline Stevermer.

Young Frederick Lincoln gets rescued from an orphanage, becoming a servant in the house of Lord and Lady Schofield. Yes, this is Kate & Thomas from Sorcery and Cecilia and sequels.

It's a YA. It made a couple of boring hours on a Sunday afternoon at work go much more pleasantly. I liked it. I may loan it to my step-son, I'll certainly try to get iraunink to read it!

I am halfway through it myself, its been sitting on my TBR pile for a couple of weeks.

yes it is YA but still has all the charm and delight of a Stevermer book and a nice addition to the rest of the series if you have read them.

Did I make it clear that Kate & Thomas a supporting characters? Kate has maybe a dozen lines, Thomas has signficantly more than that, but he still doesn't have more than maybe 10-15% on-screen time.
