The "Best Friend" Meme

OK, I give up - I can't get the script to run.

Several times it has not given me an error message, just the "This script can take a long time to run, but generally less than two minutes. Please be patient." message. It runs for a while, and then my browser says the page is finished, but there's nothing additional there.

Is this dependent on having a paid account? Has anyone with a free account gotten it to run?

I've tried it five times. Twice it's failed ("cannot open xxx"); once it finished without doing anything; and twice it's given me a result. I have a free account.

I got the same person both times, but the overlap was only four interests - which is why I didn't post it.

It doesn't work for me either, and I have a paid account. I'm wondering if it's a browser thing...I use a Mac and Safari.

I've gotten it to work with Mozilla and IE, both running under Windows XP. FWIW.

I think it comes from you having 171 friends, or almost 100 more than me. Given it's a little script checking all those people's interests against all yours, I can see where it gets overloaded.

I, with a paid account, got it to sit and wait repeatedly.

I finally got it to run. When I did, there was an odd message scrolling across, along with my result: "You were lucky number 7, so I cleared the caches." I have no idea what that means... Oh, and my account is a free one.
