Does Livejournal have a duplicate posts filter of any kind on the posting side? I.e., if I make two identical posts some period of time apart, can it somehow automagically ignore the second one? If so, what turns it on / triggers it? Or how can I turn it off?

I don't think so. Or, more precisely, it didn't a couple of years ago, when I posted identical text twice. It may, of course, have changed since then.

There's something weird going on with Daily Dragon Posts - on at least three different occasions, the posts from semagic look like they've succeeded, but haven't. And last time (which was last night), the same post from the LJ Post form went to the bitbucket also! It took when I accidentally added a couple of characters (due to focus not changing when I thought it had).

I'm considering filing a bug report.

Well, if you're using Semagic I have no knowledge of that program. Though I do vaguely remember having similar problems with it three or was it four years ago, when I tried it briefly. ISTR that was one of the reasons I gave up on it.
