Flovent = good. Just remember to wash your mouth out after using it. (Your pharmacist DID tell you to do that, right?)

Didn't get 'wash your mouth out' from either the pharmacist or the doctor. Is this unique to Flovent, or have I missed it from all my corticosteroid inhalers? I've had inhalers a couple of times in the past, and never have had that instruction. What's the reason?

It should have been with all inhaled corticosteroids, whether alone (Flovent, Asmanex) or in combination(Advair,Symbicort). The steroid can make you predisposed to a fungal infection of the throat called thrush.
