I have a short story (9,280 words) that is ready to send out to beta-readers.
Take two parts Wooster and Jeeves , one part ‘The Mouse That Roared’, and a dash of Inspector Clouseau. Pour into a spaceship and shake vigorously.
I'm looking for a mainly gentle and encouraging critique. I welcome notation of typos and incorrect punctuation. First reaction and general overview critique - Do you like the characters? Would you read more short stories about them? Are there any places that have too much info/dialog/detail? How is the pacing?
If the above is acceptable to you, please send an email to me with Jasper in the subject line. moc.reality@ytilaer.com

I am not authorized to see that protected entry, so I have to ask here: what form of beta-reading is desired? E.g., how much grammar and punctuation commentary would be desired?

Yeah, I went and looked - I hadn't realized it was locked. I told her to come look here and contact people. Might happen tonight, might happen tomorrow, should happen by the end of the day Sunday at the latest.
I'm more than happy to critique your work. Tell me what you're looking for in a critique.
